First Adobe Course Completed!

I’m happy to say I’ve finished my Adobe Illustrator course, and I’ve got a certificate to prove it now! It was a beginner / introductory course, but that’s exactly what I needed as I had no experience with Illustrator before. I could’ve taken a more official course too, maybe one from Adobe itself but I would be in some serious debt if I done that. My plan now is to continue practicing with graphic design to hone my skills, and I’ll also be moving onto Photoshop this weekend.

I’ve started a course on Udacity on Git too because I feel very uncomfortable using it. I was shown how to use SVN 2 years ago, and I got some basic Git lessons as part of another module with a great lecturer. I mostly used the Windows Git client, which isn’t a good place to be. It’s only a 2-3 week course but I’ll probably get it done in a week. I’ve finished off a few courses on Microsoft Virtual Academy too (I’ve been busy!) as I needed the tutorials for some side projects. I really love learning new things and it’s great that there’s so much free resources available now. Eventually I’ll need to get some books, currently I only have a book covering HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and a 5th edition of Hacking Exposed – which I have no idea what’s going on in it. Microsoft and Reddit are good sources for free ebooks and PDFs but I much prefer the feel of a book, plus it leave me with more screen area.
